Re: Washer - No Power

I had that fuse go a couple of weeks ago. Fuse box lid was a bit tricky but came off within a couple of minutes

Misleading advert.

Just connected to the forum today and the first thing I see, taking up most of the screen, is a box labelled "Continue to your content" witha big "Continue" button. My first assumption was that this would take me to the content of the forum. Fortunately, I quickly realised that i...

Re: Fitting a Smart Charger

Given the amount of information available on the dashboard, you'd think Toyota could at least include a 12v battery level meter, or at least a "12 volt battery level low" warning light.

Re: Flat Battery

@Cuddles. The problem is not that the battery is completely flat. There's enough power to unlock the door. But the first thing the car does then is to check that there's enough power to operate the power assisted brakes (which need more). If there isn't, the car won't go into Ready mode.

Re: Flat Battery

@Tiptoe - looked at the URL you quoted. It listed number of handbooks and manuals. Put in my VIN to get the right one. Couldn't find anything about keeping the 12v battery charged.
Mind you, it did tell me the 12v battery was under the rear offside seat - which is definitely not true!

Re: Flat Battery

Bought my Yaris Cross in April, this year. Tuesday, 31st October, with no warning, car refused to start - flat battery. Called Toyota Roadside Assist (AA). The guy that came out started it up with a jump pack and told me to leave it running for an hour to recharge the 12v battery. Said these cars ne...

Re: Recall notice

Yes, the letter was a bit worrying for a minute - started with a red banner headline "RECALL NOTICE". Not until you read most of the way through that you realise there's no recall, as such, - just a software update that will happen over the air. Not even sure if it's happened to my car yet...

Re: Delivery times

Transit from Zeebrugge to Grimsby is by a particular ship (can't remember the name) that shuttles back and forth between the two ports carrying Toyotas. It will depend on where the ship was when your car got to Zeebrugge - if the ship was just coming in to Zeebrugge, a few days - if it had just left...

Re: First Good Run

Mine's the FWD. To be honest, I wouldn't have thought FWD or AWD would make much difference - as I understand it, the AWD on the YC just means that the electric motor under the boot only starts driving the rear wheels when the front wheels are losing traction. Can't remember where I read that though...

Re: First Good Run

Yes, I've been waiting for an excuse to give mine a good run. Been getting average 61mpg locally (Essex) on short journeys since new.
Had a week in Norfolk and, on 93 miles of A roads, was pleased to see average 68mpg. That will do me.
