Re: Flat Battery
Yesterday I bought a voltage meter that plugs into the cig lighter. It showed 12.6v when the battery monitor 2 (BM2) was showing 12.3 before starting engine so close enough. It shows 14.5v when driving so is charging OK. Between that and the BM2 I should be able to judge when to put it onto the CTEK...

Re: Flat Battery
It is easy enough to charge the battery using the CTEK connector in the boot. I have now fitted a Battery Monitor 2 onto the battery. The seat is easy to pull up and get to the battery. Warning - when loosening the nuts on the battery there are metal parts very near by so cover the whole of the span...

Re: Delivery
My app still said it was in processing. That afternoon the garage rang and said it was due at them in a few days as it was in the country. My friend also had the same thing happen with hers.
My GR Yaris the app worked perfectly and showed every step of the way.

Re: Car theft alarm with dogs
I picked u[p a new Yaris Cross Design last week - it was one of the questions I had on a list. I would only need it on a Ferry or the likes. The salesman got a technician out - and tried the key - which appeared o do the job. It is three presses of the lock button on the key. First - standard lock ...

Re: Flat Battery
This is a concern to me as I will only do about 4k miles a year. Get my Icon next week and gave them a CTEK cable so they could connect it to the battery and run it into the boot. I intend to connect the CTEK once a month for a charge and probably more important a condition and remove any sulphor bu...

Re: Delivery times
I ordered an Icon week before Christmas and pick it up next week so not too bad.
Got it Tuesday and love it. Pleased the order for the GR trim version fell through and I opted for the Icon as I do have a GR Yaris and it was 5k extra just for trim.
The Icon does the same job and is a lovely car.

Re: Flat Battery
Found a good video from a chap who works with batteries and fixes problems for people. I asked him about the issue and this is his reply: "the main issue ive found is down to the quality of the battery not its AH, they just seem to struggle with sitting around and low milage if the car is used ...

Re: Flat Battery
Interesting about the call system update. I originally ordered and paid deposit for GR version - the showroom car. They then cancelled the order as new rules from Toyota says they can't sell them until they have had them many months. They can register them and sell them in a few months. I was furiou...

Re: Car theft alarm with dogs
Be carefull about double locking as this - I think- stops you using the mechanical key to get in which on a car that may have a dead 12v battery could be a problem if totally flat.

Re: Dash Cam fitted?
Have used Viofo for years and they work fine.
Just ordered my car and will fit the one I have.
I will be fitting it so it uses the power socket and only works when the car is on because of my low mileage and that battery problem for low mileage users.
