Hi all,
I am quite literally about to sign a lease on a Yaris Cross Excel, and wonder if anyone can help with final niggles.
The main draw for us is fuel efficiency. We want to keep costs down as this is a second car.
What are you really seeing yourselves in mpg?
My wife will be using it daily..usual pattern is
1. 4 mile return school run
2. Running around shops, appointments etc. About 15miles max per day, all local, no motorway
3. 4 mile return school trip
Im hoping it can stay in ev mode a lot more than our previous kia niro hybrid did, where we averaged under 35mpg unless we went on a long trip, where it rose to about 45mpg. Shes not heavy footed at all either.
Cheers
On the verge of ordering
I've done over 11,000 miles in my Yaris Cross but my journeys are usually about 20 miles on A-roads. I usually get mid-70s as far as mpg is concerned. Yesterday I did a 90 mile trip and got an indicated 82mpg. The return journey, when I was putting my foot down was only 73mpg.
I don't do a lot of local town motoring but as long as you drive it smoothly with a light foot it will operate in ev mode for quite a bit of the time.
Overall I am a very happy bunny!
