Watch your back.
Took my Cross In for first service. They tried to sell me everything under the sun. New wipers, that will be £50 sir. Pay us £50 so you are covered for any problems at the first MOT. Erm no thank you it will still be under warranty!
Oh and during service we noticed a screw in one of your tyres. Unrepairable they said. Actually it wasnt. Took it to a tye specialist and he removed small screw. No leak and nowhere near sidewall which is what dealer told me made it unrepairable. Also I have insurance through Toyota for tyre and alloy wheel repairs or replacements. But didnt realise until back home.
Went to dealer next day with a letter explaining my concerns. As expected, no response.
Will never use this dealer again. Gateshead. Tyne and Wear.
Car is great but dealer is just a modern day Dick Turpin.
Always trying to upsell things that are not needed

Very interesting. As you say, maybe a dealer to avoid.
My Yaris Cross has had two services now at Howards, Weston-super-mare. No problems and no attempts to sell me anything extra. Happy to continue with them.
