New YC owner here from the UK. Just a quick one about cruise control and getting the car to run on electric.
So I’ve found it takes a few minutes on a flat motorway at 60/70 for the car to automatically engage EV mode for a bit. BUT if I say set the cruise control to mph above what I want (67 instead of 65) and then immediately drop it back down two mph the EV mode icon comes on. It’s as if I can force it into EV mode earlier than the car does automatically and as a result my average mpg is always better.
It’s very similar to how Toyota tell you to take your foot off the accelerator slightly and then touch it back and Ev mode engages.
Is this normal?
